Kindergarten / Level 0
The Second Edition of Level 0 (Kindergarten) is scheduled for release in late spring 2021. We do not have a firm ETA at this time.
Art and Music
Composer list coming soon.
History / Geography
We will be updating the full History of Me curriculum in the second edition to be more flexible, in order to support a greater variety of family structures. We will be updating our list of recommended heroes to choose from for hero studies. Added in August 2020: A second version of the History of Me notebook is now included in your downloads. This version removes specific terms like “mother” and “father,” replaces the family tree activity with pages that focus on celebrations, and provides more flexibility to support a larger variety of family structures. You may choose to use whichever version suits your family best, and both are included in your purchase. Added 9/24/20: We have changed page 34 in the parent guide for history to reflect categories to consider for local and world heroes, rather than specific names.
Science and Nature Study
We will be updating the format of the nature study and science curricula in the second edition to provide supporting materials for visual learners (video links, picture book recommendations, etc.) and hands-on learners (ideas for activities for each week’s space study.)
First Grade / Level 1
The Second Editions of Level 1 science, nature study, and art are scheduled for release sometime in 2022. We do not have a firm ETA at this time.
The Second Edition of Level 1 (first grade) LA has been released. At this time, both the first and second edition files are included in your purchase. If you’ve already purchased Level 1 (full bundle or LA only), the second edition files are in your Gumroad library. A River of Voices, Vol. 1
We will be releasing a new edition with a few minor alterations in late summer / early fall 2021. We are simply updating with additional resources recommended by one of our consultants. Whenever we release a new edition any volume of A River of Voices, we will also send out a brief PDF documenting the changes so that you can simply make a note in your existing parent guide. You will not need to print out an entire new guide. We plan to review / revise A River of Voices every twelve months.
The “Essential Understandings” link from National Museum of the American Indian (standard / advanced) has changed. You can now find it here: https://americanindian.si.edu/nk360/about/understandings . We will update this link in the clickable links guide soon.
Please note that we are currently auditing the clickable links for Vol. 1. An updated clickable links PDF will replace the old one when we are finished sometime in late spring 2021.
Important note: Please see our page for A River of Voices for updates and announcements regarding temporary shortages of several required spines in hard copy format, and for information on the availability of recommended alternative formats (ebook, PDF, and / or audiobook) in the meantime. https://blossomandroot.com/us-history-with-blossom-and-root/
