My first grader loves the readings and activities in Blossom and Root. She always asks to learn more about the subject so I’m confident it’s presented in an interesting and engaging way. I love it because it’s open-and-go and easy to follow. It’s meaningful learning in a gentle and fun way. Wish I had found it earlier, but am looking so forward to the future volumes!!

“The preschool curriculum we use is @blossomandroot. It’s very nature-centered, which I love. Last week and this week we’ve been talking about trees & leaves. Here is our collection from today’s walk. So much can be learned through something as simple as a leaf collection”

When we found B&R we were in a rut. We had tried another secular program but it didn’t have much science and my son had progressed past what they had to offer.
A wonderful friend introduced me to the curriculum by happenstance, after she had it bound and was coming for a visit.
The moment I browsed through the science, language and math through art, I was sold! I bought my PDF copy within days.
My son has ASD; the variety and flexibility alongside the entertaining and academic has transformed his homeschooling days. He is excited to see what’s next in the scientific “big pictures” and to find out what story is next.
I explain B&R as a secular, academic, nature based curriculum that fosters the creativity. We love it!

“Imagining the underwater world from our Book Seeds science issue. Super fun!”

Blossom and Root Kindergarten has been a great tool for us in our first year of homeschooling. It is extremely easy to set up and follow, as well as customizable in terms of scheduling. The art studies were a big hit for both of my children and the integrated math and science was engaging. The prep work really is minimal, which was important to me as a mom of 2 young children. I definitely recommend this curriculum as a gentle introduction to more focused work and learning at home.

Blossom and Root has been such a wonderful fit for us! I wanted to do pre-k with my daughter at home, but had no idea where to start or what to do. Early Years Vol. 2 has been really easy for me to follow, and my daughter is loving it! It has given our homeschool such a peaceful flow.

“Learning letters at the beach. When you homeschool, the world is your classroom.
My goal as a homeschool parent isn’t to recreate a public school classroom inside my home. If public (or even private) school is all you’ve known, homeschool can look unorganized and sometimes…how do I put this? Too fun…? The reality is, it IS fun. It’s work, but fun. And creative. And not really exhausting.
Life is exhausting, but homeschool for us is like a break from the chaos of the world. An automatic excuse to slow down and connect. Kind of the opposite of what the world wants learning to feel like. Homeschool is subversive. Homeschool families are a little bit rebellious…I love being part of this powerful subculture. We’re changing the world’s views on life, family, & learning one slow lesson at the beach at a time.”

We have tried a lot of curriculums and Blossom & Root is the only one my daughter has enjoyed! It’s our favorite!!!

We’ve been using First Grade Art and Science, and both my first grader and preschooler have been loving it. For Science, I love how it gives direction but allows you to pick and choose the type of homeschooling you would like to do – books, crafts, outdoor projects, videos. And the student notebook, sharing their own thoughts with a picture, is a super cute way to end each “wonder”. In art, I love how they are learning about different artists, while still having open-ended art projects where they are free to create their own way. I’ve seen my girls come up with art that is both reminiscent of what they studied, but so vastly different from each other, and they have been treasures for our art wall. We highly recommend Blossom & Root!

“Shadows and sunlight activity from @blossomandroot Early Years Vol. 1. I set this up in the window at nap time and she woke up and knew just what to do. She had fun sticking all the ‘suns’ and then we talked about the light shining through some materials and not others.”

The Kindergarten Language Arts curriculum has been the perfect fit for my 6 year old. She loves the book selections and I love the short and simple worksheets. We are only a third of the way through and I’m already excited about continuing with the first grade curriculum this summer.

“Our leaf garland we made!”

I was so happy that I finally found a curriculum that was non-religious, nature and play- based and that was engaging to my son. We have so much fun doing PreK! I can’t say enough good things about Blossom and Root!!! I am so grateful for the curriculum!

Vanessa W., Early Years Vol. 2

Blossom and Root early years has been the perfect curriculum for my girls at 3 & 4 years old!! They are loving it and so am I! I love the freedom it has for me to organize my week and the space for my girls to dive in to where they are interested. Also, I live overseas with very different seasons and limited resources but Early Years allows me to customize our learning experience for our unique lives overseas. I feel like everything is done for me and I only need to read through it weekly and gather materials I already have around my house. It is simple and yet covers everything that will prepare my daughter for kindergarten. I have researched several options for preschool curriculum and nothing has come close to Blossom and Root! We are looking forward to the rest of the school year together and all the fun we will have.

Blossom and Root has been a dream come true for us. After a couple of miserable months using a different curriculum, my sweet boy was losing his love of learning and was beginning to dislike “school.” I came across Blossom and Root and, oh my goodness, it has been everything we wanted! My little guy loves it and we have the most wonderful time learning together. He actually begs to do school now! Thank you!

I found Blossom and Root after searching specifically for secular, Mason-based curriculum. Everything has been very organized and thorough, and my kids love the literary selections. Overall, our first year as a homeschooling family has been wonderful; Blossom and Root made it really easy for me!

We have thoroughly enjoyed using Blossom and Root for Early Years and Kindergarten. My son loves the language arts section and looks forward to it every week. The book selections are great and we’ve read them all multiple times already. We’re never able to read just one chapter of the nature book because he’s always begging for more. I really love how math and science are integrated. Those are the hardest subjects for me to teach but Blossom and Root makes it easy. I highly recommend Blossom and Root!

We’ve been following BRK for the past 5 months with our 5-year-old and I wanted to wait until we’d used it for long enough to properly review it before doing so, and I honestly can’t praise it enough!

We love everything about it. My daughter is so engaged to the point where she’s constantly begging me to do more “lessons” with her. We absolutely love the hands-on approach to activities, the fun drama element in the science topic and all of the wonderful books (and accompanying activities.)

This curriculum has made planning easy for me (a necessity for a full-time working homeschooling mum) and the fact that I’m in the UK hasn’t affected us one iota at the moment.

I couldn’t be happier with everything – I have a very happy, engaged 5-year-old thanks to BRK and we look forward to continuing for the rest of the year (I already have my eye on BR1 for next year!)

Thanks so much for making homeschooling a bit easier!

Kayleigh B., Blossom and Root Kindergarten

We are so happy to have found Blossom and Root! We started our first grade year with a different curriculum, and by the middle of our year, we felt burnt out and frustrated. We wished for a secular curriculum that had a diverse mix of material to get excited about. Blossom and Root First Grade gave us everything we had been missing from our homeschool days – peace, balance, and freedom. We have the whole bundle and love it all! The science satisfies my daughters interests, the nature studies balance it out. We love the stories in Language Arts, and as a Fine Arts major the Math in Art lessons allow me to help her dig into the pieces we study. Highly recommend this curriculum! It has given us so much to look forward to!

Hilary T., Blossom and Root First Grade

It is my first time homeschooling my two young boys this school year. I knew I wanted to homeschool them, but was very nervous. I was introduced to Blossom and Root through a friend who has been using the curriculum for two years. After using it for a week, I gained confidence and courage to teach my boys. I LOVE IT! The lessons suit our family just right. My boys enjoy the activities we do in nature. The curriculum is full of knowledge that is delivered in a kind and engaging manner.

Kim T., Blossom and Root Book Seeds

We use the complete second grade package, the Early Years Vol. 1, the history curriculum A River of Voices and multiple Book Seeds. Everything has brought so much enjoyment and inspiration into our homeschool. I love how flexible and adaptable the materials are. Everything was so clearly designed with deep intention and purpose. It has been an absolute joy. Thank you so much.

Writing as grandmother to 4-year-old in ‘Blossoms and Root’– thank you!

Barbara C., Blossom and Root Early Years

I’m using the Kindergarten and First Grade units right now for my two older daughters. I have the Early Year volumes for my younger one as she grows. We’ve barely dived in, but it is so easy to follow and very comprehensive! As a professional educator I’m loving it for homeschooling my kids. It meets all the appropriate standards to keep them on track with the kids in public schools, but allows for a level of exploration of topics that is simply not possible in a large classroom setting. I was forced to homeschool this year due to Covid-19, otherwise I’d be teaching middle school. I am very satisfied.

Amy R., Blossom and Root First Grade and Kindergarten

I had never considered homeschooling until about eight months ago when I realized my pre-K kiddo wasn’t as engaged as I wanted her to be. I started looking for curriculum and people kept directing me back to Blossom and Root.

After only a few weeks, my 2.5 year old is using new words, putting them together differently, learning to “color paints” and make collages. She is *currently* at the table learning that glue is sticky!

I don’t really worry about her learning specific things right now, but watching her play and explore is so beautiful. I don’t play well, so to have an outline of things to try every week is a true gift.

THANK YOU so much for opening my eyes to the possibilities of play and for giving my daughter so many different ways to explore the world that I had never dreamed of.

Jessica G., Blossom and Root Early Years

I am a first time homeschooler due to the global Coronavirus pandemic. While I never would have wished for these circumstances, I’m very thankful that I’m finally able to live out my homeschool dream using your brilliant 1st grade curriculum! Thank you for sharing your tremendous talent with the world! Blossom and Root eases so much of my anxiety by encompassing everything I want my daughter to be learning and all the things I love doing with her. It’s truly a perfect fit for us and I am so in awe! It’s so great to have this wonderful path laid out before us with so much flexibility to empower us on this journey. Keep up the amazing work!

Jessica N., Blossom and Root First Grade

When COVID hot this spring, we decided to pull our VPKer out of school (and then of course schools closed shortly after our decision) and I found the Blossom & Root Early Years Vol. 2 curriculum. It was a life saver for us! It made teaching my son so easy and fun, so much so that we ultimately chose to homeschool for the upcoming 2020-2021 year. And of course we again chose to purchase the Blossom & Root Kindergarten curriculum.

Also while browsing the website, I found the “Anti-Racism Resources” provided by B&R. Makes me INCREDIBLY happy to see that I gave my money to someone on the right side of history. This is amazing. Cant wait to dive into our Kindergarten school year!

Karyna H., Blossom and Root Early Years

We have been using Blossom and Root Kindergarten for a little over a month now and it has been phenomenal for us. My daughter is so excited when we blast off with Zoola in particular, but the entire program is so much fun! We are so grateful to Kristina for creating such an amazing curriculum!

Elizabeth A., Blossom and Root Kindergarten

Kristina has a real gift for planning! No matter how I try to do it, I can’t ever seem to realize my homeschool vision because I overstuff our day. I bought Kindergarten thinking I would do the nature study and integrated science and math with my 6 and 4 year olds. Instead it’s now turned into all the kids doing it over the summer including my 9 year old and two year old. We are doing a unit every day instead of one a week (just for this summer though) basically to serve as a summer unit study and my kids beg to do more when we finish each day! We have already learned a ton from the first few lessons and my children are so excited to start our day. Because of the Aplollo 13 anniversary our library is doing a space summer reading program and it is dovetailing perfectly with this unit. I am so happy to have found this perfect fit and I cannot wait to start first grade this fall with my little ones! I have finally just accepted I need some help not to over plan this has been prefect!I am thankful to be able to see a well laid out plan of how to do nature based school. I wish I had taken the plunge a year ago when I found Blossom and Root!

Jessica D., Blossom and Root Kindergarten

Hi there! I found your Early Years Curriculum through a friend and it was a life saver. I was looking for something to give me structure with my 3 year old, especially in these times when we are spending so much time at home. I found your curriculum to be focused on all the right things especially the emphasis on nature, play and kindness. Thank you <3

Trinidad C., Blossom and Root Early Years

Thank you so much! Blossom and Root is the perfect fit for us. We’re looking forward to starting Kindergarten this fall.

We were forced to pull out of Montessori playschool because of the pandemic. I’ve always been interested in homeschooling but I wasn’t confident enough to do it. We tried Waldorf homeschooling a little bit, but I felt kinda lost and overwhelmed. Then I came across your curriculum. Now I don’t think I want to send my kid back to “school” anymore! We especially love the literature, arts, and music aspects of the curriculum. Nature study is something new to me but my kid has surely caught onto it. Identifying and documenting all the weeds in our area has now become his mission.

Lots of love from the Philippines!
